Reviews and Ratings
The hotel is in a convenient location, halfway between Ross on Wye and Hereford, with a lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. The rooms are clean and adequately equipped, but nothing fancy. The dining experience is delightful, offering Mediterranean food and excellent service. However, some facilities like seating arrangements could be improved.
My stay at the hotel was a mix of highs and lows. The rooms overlooked the Brecon hills and were clean and well-maintained with great views of the gardens. However, the noise from other guests moving around was a bit bothersome. The location was wonderful and peaceful, set in lovely gardens and offering views of the surrounding countryside, but some updating is needed. The dining experience had its flaws, with breakfast items being overcooked, although the selection was decent. Service was a mixed bag with a delightful young lady but issues with loud music and an early departure time. Overall, the stay was a decent experience with room for improvement.
The hotel had rooms that were nice enough, clean, and of a decent size, but not very warm. I was on the second floor and had to climb several stairs, so a ground floor room might be a better option if stairs are an issue. The service was top-notch, with helpful, friendly, and informative staff. The location was perfect for my needs, with fantastic views from the bedroom. The dining experience was good overall, except for minor disturbances in the mornings. The hotel facilities were satisfactory.
